Ms. Saunders began her dance training at the Jones-Haywood School of Ballet in Washington, DC. She continued her dance education at Le Centre de Danse International in Cannes, France under the tutelage of Rosella Hightower before joining the Dance Theatre of Harlem.
Kellye spent most of her career with the Dance Theatre of Harlem where she was a principal dancer. Some of her featured roles include Firebird, Giselle, A Song for Dead Warriors, Apollo, Serenade, Adrian (Angel on Earth), The Four Temperaments, Les Biches, Concerto Barocco, The Moor’s Pavane, Allegro Brillante and Fancy-Free. She has also appeared in the Broadway productions of The Red Shoes and Porgy and Bess and as a guest artist dancing the role of The Striptease Girl in Slaughter on Tenth Avenue in a collaborative project with The New York City Ballet. After leaving DTH, Kellye joined Ballet NY and Collage Dance Collective as a principal dancer. Some of her other guest appearances include performances with Washington Ballet, Maryland Ballet, Ballethnic Dance Company, Gala of International Ballet Stars, Configurations Dance Company, The Flint Institute of Music, Complexions Contemporary Dance and The Metropolitan Opera.
Kellye graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Dance in Performance from St. Mary’s College of California. She has extensive experience teaching and coaching dancers at both academic and professional levels. From 2010- 2013, she served as the project coordinator for the Dance Theatre of Harlem’s Harlem Dance Works 2.0 Series, a series of choreographic workshops whose purpose was to produce new repertoire for the Dance Theatre of Harlem Company. Kellye served as Ballet master of the Dance Theatre of Harlem Company from 2013-2019. She joined the faculty of the School for Classical and Contemporary Dance at Texas Christian University in Fall 2019.
Micah Bullard, from Houston, Texas, earned his BFA in Ballet Performance from University of Oklahoma, where he performed Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake and works by Merce Cunningham, Alejandro Cerrudo, Trey McIntyre, Amy Hall Garner and Nilas Martins.
Micah is currently in his third season with Dance Theatre of Harlem, where he has danced works by George Balanchine, Geoffrey Holder, William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Helen Pickett, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Robert Garland, Stanton Welch and Claudia Schreier.
He has film credits for his work as a dancer and choreographer in Full Out 2: You Got This! and has modeled for Harper’s Bazaar magazine and for Chanel.
JILLIAN DAVIS is a Kutztown, PA native, and began her ballet training at the age of 3. She studied extensively with Risa Kaplowitz and Susan Jaffe at Princeton Dance and Theater Studio in Princeton, NJ. Jillian has attended San Francisco Ballet, School of American Ballet, as well as Pacific Northwest Ballet and LINES Ballet, both on scholarship. In 2013, she developed the Jillian Davis Dance Project, her choreography commissioned by Missouri Valley College. Her piece, Tiel, was featured at Jennifer Muller’s Hatched Series and was selected as a finalist for Rider University’s Emerging Choreographers Showcase. Jillian has been a company member with Complexions since 2014. She has been part of several Dwight Rhoden world premieres, including Headspace, Strum, Gutter Glitter, Star Dust, Bach 25, Woke, and Elegy. She has performed installation works by Desmond Richardson and an excerpt of Approximate Sonata by William Forsythe. This is her sixth season with Complexions. IG @Jillange93

Joe Cotler, Koresh Dance Company (1st week) started dancing at the age of 5 at his mother, Robin Cotler's studio Images in Dance, in Buffalo, New York. The training he received from his mother truly shaped the dancer and choreographer that he is today. Aside from training with his mother, she would frequently take him to Broadway Dance Center in New York City where he trained with many different teachers including Sheila Barker, Frank Hatchet, Michelle Asaf, and Ted Levy. This variation in training allowed for great progress in his technique and versatility. He competed in regional and national competitions winning numerous awards and scholarships which, combined with his passion for dance, paved the way for Joe to further his dance career. For college, he attended the University of the Arts and attained a BFA in Jazz in 2009. While attending the University of the Arts, he worked with various artists such as Scott Jovovich, Ronen Koresh, Eva Szabo, Rennie Harris, and Rochelle Haynes. He was also was chosen to perform works by Twyla Tharp, Paul Selwyn Norton, Bob Fosse, and was one of seven students to be chosen to perform in Tokyo, Japan under the direction of Brian Sanders. Joe began teaching at the age of 16 and since then has choreographed and set works on studios, schools, and companies around the country. Joe also worked several seasons performing as the Dance Swing at Six Flags Darien Lake, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Six Flags Great Adventure, and Hershey Park. After graduating from college, he was offered an apprenticeship at the Koresh Dance Company and after a year was promoted to the main company. Joe was a part of the Koresh Dance Company for 10 years under the direction of Ronen Koresh. Through the company, he has traveled the world performing, conducting outreach programs in schools and communities, and setting works. As well as dancing as a full-time member of this company, Joe has also taken part in many performances with the Brandywine Ballet Company. He has had numerous leading roles in shows such as The Nutcracker, Dracula, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. Currently, Joe specializes in teaching contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and tap but has experience teaching all styles of dance. Joe prides himself on pushing students to reach their full potential and choreographing works that are interesting, fun, and challenging. His passion for art makes him an inspiring teacher, dancer, and artist and he strives to share his knowledge and passion with his students.

Joseph Alfonso Caruana is a Co-Founder, Co-Director, and Resident Choreographer for Elements Ballet in Chicago, IL (Elements). As a choreographer for Elements, his work has been performed at the McCallum Theatre’s Dance Under the Stars Choreography Festival and presented as part of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events DanceBridge and SpinOff programs and On the Prairie at the Chicago Cultural Center. In 2014 he was awarded an Illinois Arts Council Artist Fellowship to develop his original one-act ballet for Elements, The Sun King, which premiered at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago's Millennium Park. In 2014 and 2015 he co-choreographed Surge with Gosney and Chloe Jensen and Karen Fisher Doyle of Aerial Dance Chicago, which performed to a sold-out house at Skokie's North Shore Center for the Performing Arts and was hailed as, "Magnificent...a jam-packed visual wonder," by the Chicago Tribune. His most recent work includes HUMAN, a collaboration with performing artist ALEXA GRÆ for The Inconvenience's The Fly Honey Show 8 as well as the short films Gifts of The Oracle with photographer Topher Alexander, Violet Cosmos with filmmaker Paul Myzia, and Chasing Sunsets with Stick Figure Bob Productions. As a dancer, Caruana has performed with River North Chicago Dance Company, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Sonia Dawkins|Prism Dance Theatre, Spectrum Dance Theatre, Haymarket Opera Company, New York Baroque Dance Company, Alchymy Viols, The MasterWorks Festival, and in numerous trade shows as well as worked in TV and film. He received his training on full scholarship at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School Professional Division and with The Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles and in workshops with the Boston Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet, Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, and the Lou Conte Dance Center and as a private student with Elements' Co-Director Mike Gosney. He has served as an instructor for many schools and programs including the Elements Ballet Summer Intensive, Cleo Parker Robinson International Dance Workshop, Visceral Dance Center in Chicago, and DanceArts Outreach. Caruana is thrilled to continue to work with Sonia Dawkins|Prism Dance Theatre and teach at the Rhythmic Repertoire Workshop this summer.

Danced professionally in New York for eight years before spending ten years on the faculty of Pacific Northwest Ballet School in Seattle, Washington. Her New York credits include: a film directed by Sir Richard Attenborough, A Chorus Line, the Movie; MTV videos with artists Billy Idol and Natalie Cole; Broadway shows with world-renowned choreographers Bob Fosse and Jerome Robbins.
In Bob Fosse's revival of Sweet Charity, Alice rehearsed with Bob Fosse himself to perfect her role as the lead dancer in "The Rich Man's Frug," and as the waving dance hall hostess in "Big Spender." As one of the founding cast members of Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Alice spent six months training with Mr. Robbins before the show opened in New York at the Imperial Theatre. She was featured as a soloist in the "Somewhere Ballet" and as one of the three original "Cool Girls" in the anthology of the great choreographer’s work.
Alice’s Seattle performance credits include principal dance roles in productions of Lakme and Aida with the Seattle Opera; guest performances with Olympic Ballet Theatre; and a dance segment on the TV series, Northern Exposure.
Alice studied ballet and contemporary dance at the School of American Ballet in New York City, San Francisco Ballet School, North Carolina School of the Arts, and Maggie Black in New York. She has taught ballet and jazz classes at Pacific Northwest Ballet School, Florida State University, Syracuse University and Cornish College of the Arts. She also choreographed for SD Prism Dance Theatre, ARC Dance Productions the Seattle Theatre Group. While teaching and choreographing in Seattle, Alice attended Seattle University and graduated with a degree in chemistry. She currently teaches Advanced Placement Chemistry at Lowndes High School and ballet at Dance Arts in Valdosta, Georgia.
Enric Marimon trained at the Urdang Academy and Guilford School of Acting in London where he graduated with a first-class honors degree in Musical Theatre. Since then he has worked for Royal Caribbean International, Qdos Entertainment, and Britain's Got Talent. He has appeared in musicals like Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cats The Musical, and La Cage Aux Folles. He has also taught master classes in schools and dance events like Move It, Pineapple London, Basel Dance Academy, and Base23. He is currently playing Mike in the Spanish production of A Chorus Line directed by Antonio Banderas and Baayork Lee. He is really excited to be joining SDR Workshops this summer.

Ralph Glenmore is a native of Washington DC. He began his studies in the arts at McKinley Technology High School as a Visual Art Major. He joined the DC Youth Chorale under the direction of Edward Jackson and the D.C. Repertory Dance Theater under the direction of Mike Malone. He continued his studies at The Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Howard University and The Juilliard School. He was a principal dancer with The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater under the direction of Alvin Ailey. He toured the world and worked with choreographers Alvin Ailey, Donald Mykayle, Talley Beatty, Judith Jamison, Bill T Jones and Arnie Zane, Billy Wilson, Jennifer Mueller, Ulysses Dove, George Faison, and John Butler.
His Broadway credits include A Chorus Line, Bubblin’ Brown Sugar, Reggae and L’Orfeo. He has worked as Instructor, Rehearsal Director, Stage Manager and Choreographer with The Lula Washington Dance Theater, The Debbie Allen Dance Academy, The Robinson Project, The Horton Summer Intensive Daytona Community College and The Movement of Agape.
He was also Resident Dance Supervisor for Disney’s The Lion King Los Angeles Company. Most recently he has worked with the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, The Dance Institute of Washington, The Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Washington Ballet, The Kirov Ballet Academy, Dance Place, Jones and Haywood School of Dance and The Peabody Conservatory. He is a professor of Jazz Dance at American University.

Fernanda Leal was born and raised in Mexico where she began folk dancing at an early age. Later on, she trained in contemporary jazz and classical ballet which enabled her to pursue a dance career. She worked with artists from Mexico, the U.S., Holland, and Cuba. Throughout her career, she has always been eager to learn new dance vocabulary, enhance her abilities and develop her artistry.
She has also performed for various foreign companies such as Ballet Teatro de la Habana (Cuba), Ballet Arte Neoclásico (Mexico), 7 Arteria (Mexico), Unexpected Society (Seattle, Wa.) and Sonia Dawkins Prism Dance Theatre (Seattle, Wa.). In Canada, she danced for Compagnie Gislaine Dote Virtuo Danse, for JCDC, a company directed by the choreographer John Carney, Roger Sinha choreographer ( Montreal), Mylène Pelletier's Tango professional dance,e company (Montreal)as well as for Sisi with Gibson Muriva.
Fernanda Leal is a qualified trainer for both GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS methods which she teaches on a regular basis.
In 2006, Fernanda began learning tango in Montréal with Lidia and Barry Byrne. She met Lionel Colque with whom she collaborated for two years which lead her to take part twice in the world tango Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the ballroom Tango Category, the pair reached semi-finals. This experience enabled her to take master classes with the most reputed Argentinian tango masters such as Graciela González, Fernando Galera, Ramiro Gigliotti to name only a few.
In 2007, she began training in tissu aérien with Ana Prada et Sarah Poole on a regular basis. She simultaneously took lessons with Fred Deb
A few years later she embarked on an innovative project with Panthéa Loewen. Their objective was to create a connection between four different art forms: classical ballet, contemporary dance, song and tissu aérien.
In juillet 2010, both Fernanda and Panthéa Loewen obtained a residency in Lasqueti (Island) where they worked with the actor, Paul Themes. After the residence, they were granted another residency, this time with La Tohu (Montreal) to create a new project, Exigent Musses.
In 2013, Fernanda became Graciela González's assistant for her tango seminars in Montreal both for men and women (technique and master classes)
Nowadays Fernanda Leal is qualified to teach the first part of the GYROTONIC Training Program for personal trainers ( is called pre-trainer on Gyrotonic method). She pursues her own specialization in GYROTONIC and GYROKINÉSIS special certifications and courses on a regular basis. Fernanda has a global approach to training whereby she integrates her extensive knowledge in physiology and her wide experience in classical ballet, contemporary dance and tango.
Nellesa Walthour is a choreographer, dancer, actress, dance educator and certified
GYROTONIC instructor. Her passion for movement and communicating through movement
began at a young age and she is inspired by stories or ideas that encourage self-reflection and
introspection. She encourages students and professionals alike to explore how these ideas and
concepts inform how movement is executed. Trained at the renowned Alvin Ailey Dance
School, she has danced with contemporary companies that include The Metropolitan Opera,
Dallas Black Dance Theater (DBDT), Earl Mosely’s Diversity of Dance, Nathan Trice Rituals, and
others, performing the works of many inspiring choreographers such as David Parsons, Elisa
Monte, Donald Byrd and Donald McKayle, to name a few. Some of the choreographers she has
worked with include Ron Brown, Sean Curran, Louis Johnson, and Alonzo King. Her own
choreography includes works for Benjamin Briones Ballet, DBDT, NYMF’s Trav’lin (associate),
Boston’s Jazz Dance Recovery Project, festivals, solos, competitions, productions of West Side
Story and Merrily We Roll Along and an upcoming off-Broadway project. Theatrical credits
include Disney’s The Lion King, Ragtime at the Kennedy Center, Pippin, The Call and The Denver
Center’s Frankenstein. Her recent television appearances include High Fidelity, The Blacklist,
Bull, and The Good Wife.
As a GYROTONIC instructor, Nellesa aims to help her clients better understand their own body
mechanics in order to achieve improved movement quality in their daily activities.
Sara Colomino Gimenez, born in Barcelona, she trained in local schools in Barcelona, and later at the Institut del Teatre (Barcelona), Codarts (Rotterdam), and the Alvin Ailey School (New York). She performs as a freelancer around Europe, Mexico, Malaysia, and the United States. Collaborating with Martz Contemporary Dance Company (Madrid), Ehrstrand Dance Collective (Sweden), and Palido Teatro (Mexico).

Mario Jiménez & Cristian Jiménez started their urban dance training in the best schools in the province of Barcelona in 2003. In 2006 they opened their international horizons and traveled to train in cities like Los Angeles, Tokyo, New York, Paris, and London. In 2012 they began to complement their contemporary dance training with their professional company.
As an artistic couple, they teach regular classes and training in important dance schools in the province of Barcelona and workshops nationwide in different cities of the country.
They are currently the urban dance teachers of the Operación Triunfo contest on TV1 and run the company Supa Staff, with which they have recently released their latest theater show Grease Reloaded.
In 2005 they created together with other colleagues their first company Sound System, with which they won several dance competitions nationwide and took the 19.9 FM show, Hip Hop Frequency, to the stage of the Monumental Theater in Mataró.
In 2007 they created the professional company D’Block with which they premiered 4 shows, including Romeo + Julieta, with more than 25,000 spectators and 4 months of residence at the Gaudí Theater in Barcelona. The company has also been the winner of several national and international competitions.
They are directors and choreographers of the following competition companies:

Karel Cruz is from Holguin, Cuba, and received his training at Cuba’s Escuela Nacional de Artes. He joined Ballet Nacional de Cuba in 1996 and left in 1998 to join Ballet Clasico de Camara in Venezuela. From 1999 to 2000, he danced with Teatro Teresa Carreno, also in Venezuela. After coming to the United States, Mr. Cruz spent a year at the Rock School joining Pacific Northwest Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in 2002. He was promoted to soloist in 2007 and principal in 2009. Mr. Cruz retired from Pacific Northwest Ballet in July 2018. He joined The University of Oklahoma as a ballet instructor for the dance department in 2019.

Sonia Dawkins is the founder and artistic director of Sonia Dawkins|Prism Dance Theatre. She is a graduate of The University of the Arts and received a Master’s in Dance/Kinesiology & Choreography from SUNY Brockport. Ms. Dawkins has been a faculty member at Pacific Northwest Ballet (the first Afro-American female teacher,12 1⁄2 years) in Seattle and Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington D.C. She has also been an Artist-in-Residence at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre School, University North Carolina School of the Arts, University Oklahoma, Cincinnati Ballet School, and Jones -Haywood Dance School. Ms. Dawkins has performed extensively with choreographers and companies in the United States and the Caribbean. Her national and international choreography credits include Village Theatre (My Heart Is The Drum), Seattle Repertory Theatre (Pullman Porter Blues, Three Musketeers, Brother Size, The Breach), Pacific Northwest Ballet, Nevada Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre School, Seattle Theatre Group (Dance This), Northwest Tap Connection, Iliev Foundation In Bulgaria Dance Festival, Mexico International Festival, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Young Arts Recognition, Youth Grand Prix and Broadway Bound ( 13 the Musical, Bye Bye Birdie, God Lives in Glass). She has received Gypsy Rose Lee Award for choreography for Brother Size, 2011 and was nominated for the same award for Pullman Porter Blues, 2012. Member of the Stage Directors Choreographers Society and The International Dance Council. Sonia Dawkins was a recipient of the New Directors Choreography Lab from Alvin Ailey American Dance Foundation. Sonia Dawkins; worked with 2 projects of Hinton Battle, on the faculty/choreographer of SLK Ballet and Taratibu Youth Association plus producing two SD|Prism Productions. Sonia Dawkins for the past two years presented workshops and a showcase of her choreography in Barcelona, Spain, Southern France, and Paris, France. Sonia Dawkins has choreographed on SLK BALLET, PHILADANCO, and has presented a major project base on August Wilson’s works. Presently, choreographing at the Village Theatre, the play, The Curious Incident of a Dog in the Nighttime and recently choreographed at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre BFA Program (Seniors), “ Reverent.”

Anisa Cobb began her dance career at the Jones-Haywood Dance school in Washington, DC, and has recently graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts class of 2020. Anisa has performed various roles including Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, and Dew Drop in The Nutcracker staged by Barry Hughson. Anisa has also performed the Dark Angel in Balanchine’s Serenade. Anisa has enjoyed her summer studies at the School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Rosella Hightower Ballet School in Cannes, France. In the fall, Anisa plans to attend Butler University as a Dance Performance Major.
Tania Palomeque Guirao, a native of Barcelona, Spain, began her training in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip- hop and musical theater dance in 1996 at the Escola de Dansa Madó, Barcelona, Spain. At the age of 6, she became a student at the Royal Academy of Dance in Spain where she was tested and critiqued yearly in order to pass the ballet technique standards set forth by the Royal Academy of Dance in London. At the age of 11, Ms. Palomeque had the great privilege to join a young dance company, Jove Ballet de Catalunya, and just three years later became a member of It Has To Be On Stage, a hip hop young dance company, in Mataro, Spain. In order to further her training, Ms. Palomeque moved to New York City where she graduated from the Independent Study Program with Scholarship at The Ailey School, in affiliation with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, in 2014. She has danced for VALLETO Dance Company. For the past 3 years, she has been working as a photographer and dancer for the Producer, Artistic Director, Choreographer, Coach, and Teacher Sonia Dawkins at SD|Prism Dance Theatre |ELEVATE|.
Carly Segell grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she graduated from Classen High School for the Visual and Performing Arts majoring in dance. After graduating, she attended The University of Oklahoma’s Ballet Performance Program. In addition to her education, she’s performed works by Jock Soto, Raimondo Rebeck, Sonia Dawkins, Carla Maxwell, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Pedro Ruiz, Talley Beatty, and Ann Reinking, among others and has performed with companies such as Ballet Hispanico’s BHdos and SD|Prism Dance.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Isabel Wallace-Green is a recent graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA in Dance Program with a second major in African and African American Studies. She additionally trained at Houston Ballet Academy and the Dance Theatre of Harlem School. In 2017 and 2018, Isabel performed at New York City Center with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Since graduating, she performed as an ensemble member of the 2019 Radio City Christmas Spectacular and toured with New Chamber Ballet.
Maria del Mar Zuniga is a native of Colombia raised in Barcelona. She started her training in Ballet, Contemporary, and Musical Theater at La Companyia Juvenil de Ballet Classic de Catalunya, also studying the method of The Royal Academy of Dance in London. She has danced for Stephane Boko, Roger C Jeffrey and others, she participated in the Dance World Cup Sapin and win the second award in the group category in musical theater, she has also danced at the Poliorama Theater in Barcelona with the production of Coppelia the ballet, she has worked in the musical production TRAUMNOVELA of the choreographer Juan Borona, she danced twice at the FIB Festival de Benicassim de Castellon with choreographies of Yaniv Abraham and Jean Emile.
She has recently graduated from a two years Scholarship Program at The Alvin Ailey School where she had the opportunity to dance for the choreographer Ray Mercer. She's currently working with Sonia Dawkins as an apprentice for SD|Prism Dance Theater |ELEVATE|.
